A: You must have completed high school and you must be at least 17 years of age.

A: The Scholars academic year usually runs from September through June with breaks for holidays. Scholars follows the semester system (two terms). 

A: Undergraduate programs follow high school and lead to a professional diploma for two years, bachelor degree for three years and Master’s degree for two years. 

A: Yes, and in fact this program is designed to help those who had not passed the Burundi National Exam at high school. 

A: Student must finish the Bachelor’s program before starting the Master’s program. 

A: With acceptance by the respective schools, selected students can work in the work study arrangement scheme, as Assistants to the Deans up to …. Hours per week for the duration of their time as students.

A: Internship is a time when a student goes to work in a professional environment of his/her choice outside the class setting but as part of the school’s requirement necessary before graduation because it is part of the program. 

A: Yes, although you may lose some credits and require extra time to complete your degree depending on the requirements of the university where you are transferring..

A: Please check on the sign board to read all the letters from the Minister of Education and Scientific Research giving approving and authorizing the Scholars programs

A:  Scholars has an authorization letter and the Charter letter as well as regular follow up interactions by the National Commission for Higher Education that also endorses its degrees once a year after a rigorous scrutiny of students’ enrollment and academic papers..  

A: Scholars require an English language proficiency test before admission to ensure you can read, write, and speak fluently.

A: You can enroll at the Scholars Leadership Language Institute program for English language study for starting your degree program. 

A: You do not select a concentration until the end of you second year of school.

A: A credit is a value assigned to each course which reflects the number of hours the class will meet with the lecturer each week.

A: Grade Point Average (GPA) is a numeric indicator for a student's academic performance, calculated on a scale of 4.0.

A: Letter grades indicate a student's academic performance. Each letter grade has a numeric value which is used to calculate a GPA, on a scale of 4.0.

A: Grades are determined by quizzes, midterms, final exams, papers, projects, class attendance, and class participation.

A: A public university is funded by the government and generally larger and less expensive than a private university.

A: Contact the Dean of Students to ask if your university of preference has exchange agreements with Scholars.

A: After you have been accepted to enroll, attend all orientation meetings scheduled at Scholars. Inquire about the Student Council officials and join them for more support and orientation about the campus life.
